PAINT THE TOWN...
Paint the town... is an interactive digital art project in the public space. It explores the surfaces of the city as open canvases for creation through tele communication technology.
During the first face of the project we will primarily investigate how we can draw on for example an iPad or smart phone and the drawing will appear as it happens on the facade. Easy with one input but what if it were 100 people and a 100 phones, and only one computer and one projector? This is what we will explore in the project.
We have previously explored light as primary source but in this project we wanted to work with telecommunication as material. The idea is still to turn the outdoor space into a colouring book that could be filled with colour and form according the the spectators own design.
